Join Angela's Clarinet Studio!

Angela was very sensitive to introducing a new instrument to our daughter. She presented the instrument and an approach to learning how to play it that was immediately engaging.

With over two decades of varied teaching experience and students ranging from young children to adults, beginner to artist-level, Angela is enthusiastic and deeply committed to her students and to their progress. Her belief is that the music learning process should be every bit as joyous as it is disciplined, and as thoughtful as it is technical.

While a graduate student at the Eastman School of Music, Angela was the first intern to receive the Jack L. Frank Award for Excellence in Private Instruction through the Community Education Division. She additionally won the Teaching Assistant Prize for Clarinet Methods instruction.

As a Teaching Artist with In the Pocket NYC, Angela maintains an active private studio. She has extensive experience working with children and adults and has degrees in both Clarinet Performance and in Music Education. Please visit her bio for more information.

Angela is a wonderful teacher. She provides just the right combination of patience, encouragement and discipline, and clearly enjoys working with children. I couldn’t have wished for a better experience for my son in learning his first musical instrument!

I’ve been taking clarinet lessons with Angela for more than a year. Thanks to Angela I’ve learned so much already. She finds ways to make learning to play music more understandable and enjoyable. She is equally serious and fun. Thanks to Angela I not only know how to play a musical instrument but I find music to be a way to rejoice.
